The Eurasian Resources Group (ERG) has donated to support the recovery efforts in the Republic of Mozambique and the Republic of Zimbabwe after the devastation of Cyclone Idai.

The ERG has provided substantial cash donations to both the Mozambique Red Cross (CVM) and the National Disaster Fund in Zimbabwe in the context of Cyclone Idai.

Benedikt Sobotka, Chief Executive Officer of ERG, said: "On behalf of the Group I would like to extend our deepest condolences to all the people affected by Cyclone Idai. We hope that ERG's donation will help support the provision of supplies to deal with this tragedy and to put the communities affected on the road to recovery."

ERG, a leading diversified natural resources group with integrated mining, processing, energy, logistics and marketing operations, is an important investor in Mozambique's Chitima Power Project and has a long history in the Zimbabwean resources sector.
