CLT-UFA has renewed its concessions and permits with the government of Luxembourg, including the agreement on the provision of audiovisual public services, for three years between 2021 and 2023. The Frequencies for RTL Radio and Television have been extended to 2030.
The agreement signed by the parties today has been adapted on several points, in particular to ensure a more diversified selection of programme elements.
In order to ensure the continuity of the public service television program, the deficit resulting from the financing of the program will be borne by the State from 2021, a financing guarantee which can not exceed €10 Million per year.
In order to avoid any risk of overcompensation, the government will ensure, through rigorous annual independent audit and audit mechanisms, that this ceiling will be used exclusively to finance television programming.
The Chamber of Deputies will be associated with monitoring the implementation of the concession.
