On Thursday 2 December 2025, GRIDX in Wickrange hosted the 2025 edition of the TNT Symposium.

The event, attended by around 600 members of Luxembourg’s tech, innovation and digital community, was built around the theme “404 – Reality Not Found”, inviting participants to reflect on a world “where truth fragments, perception glitches and technology reshapes the very notion of reality”, according to organisers The Dots.

The evening opened with an AI-generated introduction video, followed by welcome remarks from Kamel Amroune, CEO of The Dots. Master of Ceremony Giulia Pescatore, Senior Manager for Strategy & Innovation at Deloitte Luxembourg, then introduced the first keynote speaker, Maurice Schubert, Partner for Advisory & Consulting at Deloitte Luxembourg. Schubert highlighted the growing accessibility and disruptive potential of deepfakes, describing their misuse as “depressingly easy” and warning of a “crisis of knowing” in which traditional cues for assessing truth have become unreliable.

Dr Nesryne Mejri, Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Luxembourg’s Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT), offered a scientific perspective on deepfake detection, presenting research focused on modelling the intrinsic characteristics of real human faces, including those not yet observed, and emphasising the shared responsibility in combating misinformation.

Neuroscientist, author and editor-in-chief of Cerveau & Psycho, Sébastien Bohler, explored how cognitive mechanisms, including emotional response, novelty bias and group influence, make the human brain particularly vulnerable to misinformation. He noted that “we believe first and understand later”, underscoring the importance of strengthening critical thinking.

The day transitioned into an evening gala, which opened with remarks by Solenne Niedercorn-Desouches, followed by a moment that captured the spirit of the event. When Kamel Amroune took the stage, his introduction appeared to begin in his own voice, until he revealed that the opening lines had been generated by AI. The brief demonstration illustrated how convincingly technology can imitate individuals and how easily perception can shift.

The programme continued with an intervention by Laurent Pulinckx, CIO at Creos Luxembourg (THECIO23), who introduced Éric Mansuy, Group Chief Operating Officer a.i. at Quintet Private Bank (THECIO25). Éric Mansuy reflected on the selection process and shared the guidance he would offer his successor: to remain “authentic, engaged and committed throughout the year”.

During the dinner, the awards ceremony honoured exceptional achievements in the tech world.

Roberto De Gori, CIO of Ampacet Corporation, was named THECIO26, succeeding Éric Mansuy (THECIO25).

Tech Firm of the Year was awarded to Anidris, succeeding NTT DATA and recognised for excellence aligned with the HITS pillars: Human, Inspiration, Technology and Sustainability.

The TechForLife Prize went to the Tech Mahindra Foundation, succeeding Dataspace4Health, for its contribution to societal and sustainable impact.

The dinner concluded with closing remarks from MC Solenne Niedercorn-Desouches, who congratulated the award winners and thanked attendees. The celebration continued with a lively Proximus NXT after-party.
