On Monday 28 March 2022, the Aline Mayrisch High School welcomed the winners of the Young Journalist Competition (YJC).

The 2021-2022 edition of the YJC, organised by the Coordination Service for Educational and Technological Research and Innovation (Script), the Press Council and the Zentrum fir politesch Bildung (ZpB), was placed under the slogan "talk, participate, decide" (Matschwätzen, matmaachen, matentscheeden).

All pupils attending a school or extracurricular establishment in Luxembourg were invited to participate, individually or in groups, by submitting a journalistic production in relation to political and social participation in the Grand Duchy.

20 classes representing some 250 participants responded to the call and submitted various projects. Some wrote a report to be published in a newspaper, others preferred to produce a video or a podcast.

The contributions, in German, English and French, exhibited diversity and creativity.

A jury, composed of representatives of the three organisers, evaluated the contributions according to five criteria: relevance, research, creativity, content and presentation.
