The City of Luxembourg (VdL) has announced upcoming roadworks on Rue des Muguets in Luxembourg-Weimershof, which will result in road closures and changes to several municipal bus services.
The works will involve two overlapping projects. From Monday 24 August 2026 at 06:00 until Monday 14 September 2026 at 17:00, Creos will carry out infrastructure works to reinforce the network. Rue des Muguets will consequently be closed between Rue des Pâquerettes and the Bricherhof path.
A second project will begin on Monday 31 August 2026 at 06:00 and continue until Monday 14 September 2026 at 17:00. Connection works for the building at 120 Rue des Muguets will require the closure of the section between Rue des Pâquerettes and the roundabout connecting Rue du Kiem and Boulevard Konrad Adenauer.
The works will also affect public transport. Municipal bus lines 12 and 83 will be diverted via Avenue John F Kennedy, with the Bleuets, Pâquerettes, Marguerites and Muguets stops not served in either direction. The Labours Quai 1 stop will also not be served towards Kirchberg on line 12 and towards Neudorf on line 83. Two temporary stops will be set up on the service road along Avenue John F Kennedy.
The CN4 line will similarly be diverted via Avenue John F Kennedy, with several stops not served, namely: the Muguets Quai 2; Marguerites Quai 2; Pâquerettes Quai 2; and Bleuets Quai 2.
An N12 shuttle service will operate throughout the works to maintain connections to the Weimershof neighbourhood.
The VdL Traffic Department will put appropriate signage in place to guide traffic during the works.
