On Tuesday 28 November 2017, the 2017 edition of Gala Marketers took place.

After a series of conferences on the theme "The Amazing Experience", in the presence of local and international experts, the Luxembourg Marketing & Communication Awards were presented to local professionals, highlighting local expertise and best practices of the MarCom sector in the Grand Duchy.

The first prize of the evening, the Best Website Design of the Year, went to Mikado Plus for its client La Potion des Lutins (The Potion of the Elves). The members of the jury emphasised the very playful side of it, the original visuals and a singular graphic universe.

Nvision won the Best Mobile App of the Year Award for the work done for Picken Doheem (by Bionextlab), an innovative app that brings real comfort to the user and saves a lot of time for blood sampling.

Vanksen, for MyAxa, won the Best Social Media Strategy of the Year award, thanks to a 360 device, in several highlights including a day of community management and a special activation for fans.

The Best Content Strategy Award of the Year went to Wili Group for its creations for the City of Dudelange. The members of the jury particularly appreciated the exclusive reality content in the form of articles every week on the blog "ondiraitlesud.lu" and the social networks for the promotion of the new city centre of Dudelange.

The Best Online Experience award of the Year was awarded to supermiro, for its unique and innovative user experience, but also for an offbeat and humourous tone, then for its relevant advertising, well integrated navigation and non-intrusive.

The coveted Best Digital Agency of the Year award went to Vanksen this year. The agency that puts digital at the heart of its strategy has developed its own "plug & play" solution for its customers as well as a global approach for tailor-made strategic support.

For its quirky campaign within LuxAirport with connected benches, ING Luxembourg was awarded the Best Brand of the Year award.

Before attending the second part of the Luxembourg Marketing & Communication Awards 2017, the participants were able to benefit from the experience of Andrée Deissenberg, General Creative Director, within Crazy Horse, during a unique presentation in Luxembourg.

For an ultra graphic awareness campaign, "Handy", made for the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Infrastructure, including visuals, diverting mobile application icons, Mikado won the Best Design & Graphic Art of the Year.

The Best Marketing Strategy of the Year award went to Wili Group, for the implementation of the CFL "employer branding" campaign: strategic support taking into account the evolution of human resources, and cross-Media campaigns.

Toolbox won the Best Event of the Year Award, following the creation of a bespoke show and the presence of 45 artists from around the world for the POST NIGHT SHOW.

The Noosphere agency was named Best Brand & Creative Agency of the Year, which will soon celebrate ten years of know-how to create and evolve the renowned brands, thanks to its 30 employees who cover all the necessary services of communication strategy.

With a brand new "content marketing" approach developed internally and a hundred multimedia content already published in 2017, BIL won the jury's votes and was awarded the Best Marcom Project of the Year award.

The Digital Personality of the Year 2017 was Mathieu Lafond, Head of Marketing & Digital at the insurance company AXA Luxembourg. This year, the digital expert was very active on social networks to develop the visibility of AXA Luxembourg, and was at the heart of the launch of one of the most downloaded applications in Luxembourg, MyAXA.

Sophie Ensel, graphic designer and founder of SO Graphiste Freelance, won the Young Marcom Talent of the Year award. The young marketer founded her company only three years ago and has since collaborated with some of the biggest companies in Luxembourg.

And finally, Melanie Delannoy, Head of Marketing and Communications at Docler Holding, was named Marketing & Communication Manager of the Year. The members of the jury praised her vast experience in the field of marketing and communication. Her knowledge of the Luxembourg marketing community also gives her expertise in the IT, FinTech, start-up and entertainment sectors.

As is the tradition, the event ended with a networking cocktail, always sticking to the theme "The Amazing Experience". The MarCom experts were then able to continue their discussions and exchanges of good practice.
