Two Luxembourg-based enterprises have been nominated for the Datacloud Awards 2016, the ceremony of which is to be held in Monaco on Tuesday 7 June 2016.

The Datacloud Awards shortlist was released on 28 April 2016, revealing two nominations each for the European Business Reliance Centre (EBRC) and LuxConnect.

The former, involved in the guarantee of the availability, integrity, security and protection of sensitive information, has been nominated in the categories "Excellence in Data Centre Service Award" and "Excellence in Cloud Service Award"; whilst LuxConnect's services as an ICT development facilitator and incubator have seen it nominated for the "Data Centres Community Impact Award" and "The Most Innovative Energy Solution Award".

"The global data centre and cloud industry have truly come of age and the Datacloud Awards, as the premier pan-European and MEAI event, uniquely reflects its importance and the ambition to achieve excellence in technologies and services," remarked Gerd Simon, chairman of the Judges Panel. "The Judges were delighted by the quality and breadth of this year’s nominations."

A barometer of the ICT industry, the Data Centre & Cloud EMEA 2016 Awards are recognised worldwide and aim to highlight true innovation, excellence in services and the contrinuous evolutions of the sector and IT transformations underway.

For the 2015 edition, EBRC walked away with the "Cloud Service Provider of the Year" award.
