On Wednesday 9 March 2016, the Jeune Chambre Economique du Grand-Duché de Luxembourg (JCI Luxembourg) announced the official opening of applications for the Creative Young Entrepreneur Luxembourg (CYEL) Awards 2016.
The CYEL Awards aim to promote new businesses and creative projects that help boost the local economy, as well as foster a pioneering spirit by supporting entrepreneurs in their endeavours to create positive changes and impact through their business concept.
Junior Chamber International, of which JCI Luxembourg has been the country's national association since 1963, is an international NGO which has beeen organising the awards annually for ten years now. The JCI holds around 200,000 active members, constituting young entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 and 40 working together to instil positive change. 2016's 10th Anniversary Edition is being held with the support of the Ministry of the Economy.
"We can't wait to celebrate this new edition of the CYEL awards!" commented Didier Colin, National President of JCI Luxembourg. "For a decade, JCI has been enabling candidates to present their project/company/business to the Public of Luxembourg and Europe, to potential partners/investors and benefit from a great campaign of communication."
CYEL will be on the lookout for outstanding candidates offering a unique, innovative and original approach or solution to developing an activity. These proposals will then be assessed by a jury panel composed of influential persons in Luxembourg, who will then select three finalists to be recognised as the most creative and outstanding entrepreneurs in Luxembourg at an awards ceremony set for Thursday 30 June 2016.
