On Wednesday, three organisations were awarded with the Export Award 2015 at a ceremony organised by the Office du Ducroire at the Chambre de Commerce in Luxembourg-Kirchberg.

The ceremony was attended by circa 200 participants including HRH the Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume. Robert Dennewald, Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce, Pierre Gramegna, Minister of Finance, and Mrs. Ana BOATA, Economist Europe, Euler Hermes, spoke at the event.

The Export Award is awarded every two years and rewards Luxembourg SMEs that have distinguished themselves through their initiatives and results in the internationalisation of their activities and targets SMEs from all economic sectors. The prize was awarded for the first time in 2011 to four companies, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Office du Ducroire.

This year, three companies were selected from 17 dossiers presented. The awards were presented by HRH the Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Arsene Jacoby, President and Chairman of the jury of the Office du Ducroire.

1st Prize (€15,000): Fast Track Diagnostics (Dr. Miriam STEIMER, General Manager)

Fast Track Diagnostics (FTD), established in 2006 has become a leading global supplier of kits for performing accelerated complete diagnostics for the detection of infectious diseases. FTD today exports more than sixty different diagnostic kits to nearly 70 countries worldwide. These kits are more recognised and used by large private and public laboratories, internationally recognised laboratories and foundations such as the Bill Gates Foundation oand the "US Centre for Disease Control." The company exports over 93% of its business and has 44 employees.

2nd Prize (€10,000): KELLER AG (Serge NIEDERKORN, CEO)

3rd Prize (€5,000): GILLES TOOLING GmbH (Gerhard GILLES, CEO)
