Luxembourg’s Ministry of Equal Opportunities has awarded the “Positive Actions” label to seven companies who have implemented their plans of action, in showing exemplary commitment to gender equality in the workplace, by adhering to the “Positive Actions” programme.

The initiative was created to offer companies a financing and support programme, in order to enable the improvement of workplace environment, especially in terms of gender equality.

Promoting gender equality has become a major asset for companies in search of improved quality of work, increased staff motivation, as well as better performance and competitiveness.

The “Positive Actions” programme consists of implementing the following measure:

- An internal company satisfaction survey on gender equality treatment in different aspects, including the organisation of work, taking into account gender equality in the following areas:

- Career development

- Decision-making

- The conciliation of professional and private life

The seven companies that obtained Ministerial approval and were presented the label were:

- Adecco

- Banque Raffeisen

- BGL BNP Paribas

- BSH électroménagers

- Luxlait

- PricewaterhouseCoopers

- Société Générale Bank & Trust
