On Wednesday 30 August, a truck carrying a consignment of beer lost some of its load as it manoeuvered around the Schinker roundabout in Hosingen on the N7.
The incident happened at around 10:00 yesterday morning, dozens of crates of beer fell off the truck and crashed to the ground, breaking open the bottles and spilling their contents across the road.
The surface of the road was strewn with a large number of broken beer bottles; these were cleared up by personnel from road management services. The road was cleared of crates, broken bottles and spilt beer by noon when the road was reopened for traffic.
After the driver of the truck had had the remainder of his load secured and checked, he was able to continue on his journey.
