On Monday 1 June 2026, the Grand Ducal Police announced that Grand Duke Guillaume visited the Grand Duke Henri Police Complex (Cité policière Grand-Duc Henri – CPGDH) in Findel, where he officially presented the force with its new Corps flag.
The visit also included the unveiling of a plaque displaying the new official name of the Police School, which has been renamed the Grand Duke Guillaume Police School.
Luxembourg's Head of State was welcomed by Luxembourg’s Minister for Home Affairs Léon Gloden, Director General of the Police Pascal Peters and Deputy Director General Alain Engelhardt. Following a presentation of the members of the Police Executive Committee, a moment of remembrance was held at the CPGDH memorial in honour of police personnel who died in the line of duty.
A ceremony then took place in the Saint-Michel Hall, during which Police Director General Pascal Peters officially received the new Corps flag. According to the Grand Ducal Police, the flag now bears the monogram of the reigning sovereign.
The Corps flag serves as the official emblem of the force, representing its unity and values. It symbolises officers' commitment to public safety and is used during official ceremonies, parades and major national events, including Luxembourg's National Day celebrations.
The formal part of the programme concluded with Grand Duke Guillaume signing the Grand Ducal Police's guest book.
The visit also included tours of the national emergency call centre (113) and the Operational Command Post (PCO), both of which were inaugurated in December 2025.
According to the police, the visits were led by the Directorate of Operations, which is responsible for planning and coordinating security operations for state and official visits, as well as other major events
