On Thursday 12 March 2026, the Luxembourg's government held a trilateral round table on artificial intelligence (AI), known as the “KI-Dësch”, taking place in Senningen Castle.
Bringing together representatives of employees, civil servants and businesses, the meeting focused on discussing issues related to AI and exploring how its development can be guided in support of social and economic progress, with the aim of improving citizens’ quality of life.
Luxembourg's Ministry of State government noted that, although AI remains in its early stages, the technology is already transforming entire sectors of society. However, it stressed that the potential benefits of AI will only be fully realised if society as a whole understands and adopts the technology, using it as a tool for shared progress.
Luxembourg aims to position itself as a pioneer in the adoption and development of AI by promoting broad mobilisation, raising awareness at all levels and ensuring responsible governance. This ambition is based on the conviction that AI, when understood, managed and used in the collective interest, can become a powerful driver of innovation and sustainable development, stated the ministry.
