On Friday 22 November 2024, InfoMann will officially inaugurate SAVVD infoMann, dedicated to supporting men who are victims of domestic violence, at House of Startups in Luxembourg-Gare (9 Rue du Laboratoire).

Luxembourg's Minister of Gender Equality and Diversity, Yuriko Backes, will attend the event, which commemorates International Men's Day on Tuesday 19 November 2024.

InfoMann is an information and consultation service for boys and men, affiliated with the Ministry of Gender Equality and Diversity.

The speakers will include:

- Michèle Kayser-Wengler, President of ActTogether asbl. The ActTogether association aims to promote the well-being of children and families in distress, equal opportunities between men and women and support people in  social or material difficulty;

- Walid Megharbi, Head of infoMann, who will present the Assistance Service for Victims of Domestic Violence(SAVVD), and its impact on men in Luxembourg;

- Ulrick Lemarchands, founder of SOS Hommes Battus and himself a victim of domestic violence, who will share his experiences.

The exhibition "Les Vrais Hommes" will also be inaugurated at the event. This exhibition reveals the challenges, stereotypes and realities that men face, as observed by the infoMann team.

According to InfoMann, the evening will focus on solidarity, strong testimonies and commitment towards a more inclusive society that respects the needs of each individual.
