The Grand Ducal Police have reported that an individual suffered injuries in an attack in Pétange on Sunday 19 May 2024.
The incident took place on Rue Jean-Baptiste Gillardin in the early hours of Sunday morning, when police received reports of an individual who had been stabbed in the head with a knife and shot in the foot.
The perpetrator then fled in a vehicle towards France. The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to initial information, the crime was preceded by an argument between the victim and the perpetrator. The police said they had initiated a search for the perpetrator and launched related investigations.
