The Grand Ducal Police have reported that, on Saturday 12 August 2023, a youth was being harassed by a number of prople at around 16:00 on the Rue de la Gare in Mersch.
One of the perpetrators tore two gold chains from the victim's neck.
The police received a call and a patrol arrived, following which four people were identified, including the suspect who had torn the gold chains from the victim's neck. Both chains were recovered and returned to the owner.
By order of the public prosecutor, the suspect was arrested and brought before a judge on Sunday morning.
