On Monday night, a resturant worker was held up at gun-point in Petange as she was about to get into her car to drive home after work.

The incident happened in the early hours of Tuesday morning, at around 01:30 on the Place du Marché. The waitress was approached quickly by her assailant who threatened her in French and pointed a gun at her. She was carrying the day's takings in her back-pack which he took and fled towards Petange-Gare.

The victim reported the incident to the police. She was taken to the hospital, suffering from shock.

She described her attacker as being around 1.8m tall, of thin stature, and who wore a white jogging suit with a hoodie.
