Summer honey, fresh and of local origin, the fruit of the work of the Luxembourg beekeepers, now garnishes the shelves of Cactus stores in Luxembourg once again.
Luxembourg supermarket Cactus has announced the reintroduction of “Frësch geschleiderten Hunneg'', a seasonal local and fresh brand of honey to be sold at all its outlets, while stocks last.
The Frësch geschleiderten Hunneg is a seasonal delicacy, a honey put in pots just a few days after harvest. This state of the honey, fresh and liquid, has proven successful with amateurs who prefer to consume freshly harvested honey, whose colour and fragrances are the result of the nectars of a variety of local flowers. Rich in fructose, it will remain liquid for about eight weeks before solidifying little by little naturally.
Since its foundation in 2014, the association "Lëtzebuerger Hunneg" works in close collaboration with Cactus which distributes in all its points of sale the quality artisan honeys of passionate beekeepers coming from all over Luxembourg.
Marketed in a short circuit, this is a natural product without additives, which has been cold centrifuged to guarantee the preservation of all its natural properties. For optimal preservation of its smooth texture, it is advisable not to keep the Frësch geschleiderten Hunneg in the fridge. The ideal is to keep it at an ambient temperature, not exceeding 25 ° C.
The Lëtzebuerger Hunneg association sells 500g pots of honey labelled "National Brand of honey", as well as, from this summer onwards, certified organic honey.
On this occasion, the honey pot Frësch geschleiderten Hunneg has a distinctive new label.
