On Tuesday 1 August, shots were fired from inside a car travelling along the Rue d'Athus in Pétange; the Luxembourg poluice have launched an investigation.
The incident happened at around 23:30. Several shots were fired from a weapon from inside the car as it was being driven in the direction of Athus. A number of parked cars were hit by bullets, as well as the window of a house and a utilities distribution box. Nobody was reported injured in the incident.
The public prosecutor ordered an investigation by the forensics service of the Grand Ducal Police. According to initial reports, the car used was a dark colour.
