On Thursday 29 June, HRH the Hereditary Grand Duke received in audience at the Grand Ducal palace in Luxembourg city centre a number of dignitaries associated with the Asteroid Day event in Luxembourg.
In April of this year, during the economic mission to the west coast of the United States, Their Royal Highnesses the Grand Duke and the Grand Duchess met with Rusty Schweickart and Ed Lu, as well as Mrs. Danica Remy.
On the World Asteroid Day denoted by the United Nations, more than 700 events are being organised in more than 190 countries across five continents. The programme produced and broadcast live for 24 hours from Luxembourg will serve as a platform for the first global conversation about asteroids.
