A pedestrian, who was seriously injured in a supermarket car-park in Howald on Monday 2 January, died on Sunday of injuries sustained in the accident.

The accident had happened at around 17:50 on 2 January as the predestrian, described as elderly, crossed the car park. He suffered serious head injuries in the accident and was taken to hospital by ambulance where his condition was described as serious.

The police have appealed for witnesses to the accident to contact them at tel:113.
