The Luxembourg police has reported that two cars were damaged and 2 wild board killed in a traffic accident on the N11 towards Dommeldange in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The accident happened shortly before 05:30 when a driver was dazzled by headlights from an oncoming car and hit a group of three wild boar on the road. The driver stopped and got out of his car to examine the damage to his car. A second car approached and collided with the rear of the first car which forced it off the road and into a ditch. A third car ran over one of the wild boar which had been hit in the initial collision.
The driver of the third vehicle received what were described as minor injuries and was brought to hospital.
All three vehicles received what was described as significant material damage. Two out of the three boars were killed with the third manging to escape into the nearby forest.
