The search for 6-week old baby Bianka Bisdorff continues: the Grand Ducal Police have suspended the search on Tuesday afternoon and will resume on Friday, due to "technical reasons".
The search has focuced on the "Linger Weieren" pond where water continued to be pumped out for a second day until it reached a depth of no more that 50cm. Officials from the Water Management administration were on hand throughout Wednesday to capture and remove fish to another body of water nearby. The remaining water is currently being aerated with pumps to ensure a sufficiently high oxygen level in the water.
Wednesday's search revealed no further evidence of baby Bianka who was last seen with her mother near to the pond. A search of a nearby abandoned building revealed clothing belonging to both mother and child. Bianka's mother remains in police custody.
