On Thursday afternoon, a roofing contractor's warehouse caught fire in Hoscheid-Dickt, north of Vianden.
The incident was reported shortly before 15:00 when the wooden structure caught fire and the alarm was raised. Around 30 fire-fighters arrived from the surrounding towns including Hoscheid, Weiler-Putscheid and Hosingen. While the warehouse was completely destroyed, they did manage to bring the flames under control.
The cause of fire is unclear and will be investigated. Nobody was injured in the fire, just high material damage was caused to the building.
