The Grand Ducal Police has issued a call for witnesses after discovering a body in the lake near Lultzhausen.
While the discovery was made last Sunday, 12 July, they have just released the information as they have been unable to establish the circumstances surrounding the person's death and fear he died by violent means.
The body was discovered by divers in the lake and was identified as a 39 year-old homeless man. The public prosecutor in Diekirch ordered an autopsy to be performed and an inquest to be held.
The police revealed that the man had been in the vicinity of the lake from Saturday 11 to Sunday 12 July, in or around Lultzhausen. They have issued an appeal for information for anyone who may have seen the man and who may be able to sine some light on what happened to him. anyone with information should contat the police on tel: 113 or tel: 4997-6107.
