Reports from other media have suggested new elements have arisen in the case of missing six-week-old Bianka Bisdorff, born on 6 June 2015; Luxembourg Police have been divulging very few details during the ongoing investigation.
Investigations have been underway since 3 July 2015, with Luxembourg Police searching Linger-Bomicht pond on 7 July 2015 and appealing to the public for any information on her whereabouts.
A witness has reportedly come forward claiming to have seen Bianka's mother carrying the child to the pond and it has emerged that children's clothing containing traces of the mother's DNA have been found in a building near the pond.
Luxembourg police are understood to be following two theories: that the child is unlikely to still be alive, hence the dredging of the pond, or that the baby has been handed to a third person, identity as of yet unknown.
The man who has been living with Bianka's mother has been questioned, and the mother has been arrested and taken into protective custody.
