Casino Luxembourg has announced the publication of Joyeuse Apocalypse! by Jérôme Zonder, succeeding his exhibition from 7 October 2023 to 7 January 2024.

Following on from his exhibition at Casino Luxembourg and conceived forming an integral part of it, the publication Joyeuse Apocalypse! by Jérôme Zonder documents five pivotal moments of the exhibition, with five authors shedding unique light on the themes at the heart of the artist's work.

Jérôme Zonder, inspired by the architecture of the Casino, set out to design an immersive exhibition that, in keeping with his artistic work, would exploit the possibilities of black and white drawing in graphite pencil and charcoal. His work reportedly also questions the idea of drawing in general, through both an ultra-referenced reading grid and a total explosion of the spatial framework.

This is how popular culture, current events, politics and sociological subjects ended up combining and spinning in an "uninterrupted stream of consciousness with ash-coloured contours".

This book was published by Casino Luxembourg – Forum d'art contemporain, in 2024 and costs €45. It is available in French and English and was created under the editorial direction of Benjamin Bianciotto and Kevin Muhlen.
