The next edition of the Schueberfouer will take place at the Glacis car park in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg from Friday 22 August to Wednesday 10 September 2025.

The City of Luxembourg (Ville de Luxembourg - VdL) unveiled details of the upcoming event at a press conference on Tuesday 12 August 2025.

Founded in 1340 by John the Blind, the Schueberfouer will once again transform the Champ du Glacis into a large funfair for all ages.

Following the official opening on Friday 22 August at 17:00 by Luxembourg City Mayor Lydie Polfer, visitors can enjoy various attractions, rides, carousels and entertainment, as well as food and drinks from restaurants, street vendors and confectionery stands, for 20 days. The fair will be open every day from 12:00 to 01:00, with restaurants allowed to open daily from 11:00.

The VdL recalled that the layout of the Schueberfouer was completely redesigned in 2017, both above ground to accommodate the tramway and underground in terms of technical infrastructure. The authorities have decided to largely maintain this arrangement in 2025.

Major gastronomic establishments remain grouped in the northwest of Glacis, with rides and shops mixed throughout the rest of the site.

Covering 4.44 hectares, the Schueberfouer's surface area remains unchanged from previous years. The site features seven public access points.

This year, a total of 213 fairground establishments will be present, with operators and vendors coming from Luxembourg (42.7%), Germany (23.9%), France (23.5%), Belgium (8.5%) and the Netherlands (1.4%).

Attractions, rides and other stands: eight flat rides; ten elevated rides; two rail-guided / flume rides; 20 children's rides / attractions; four ghost trains / walk-throughs / cinemas / walking or miscellaneous attractions; one bumper car track; seven Luna park / amusement arcades; fifteen shooting ranges; 21 game stands; 42 miscellaneous vendors.

Restaurants and food stands: eleven restaurants; 43 savoury food stands (takeout); fifteen sweet food stands (takeout); fourteen confectionery stands.

This year, the Schueberfouer will welcome eleven new attractions. The new rides include: Evolution; Mondlift; Rio Rapidos; Fortress Tower; Take Off; Der Polyp. The new restaurants include: Die Schnitzelhütte; Corndogs House; Falafel Taxi; Mini Donuts Factory; Chalet de Chocolat.

In addition, seven attractions will return after one or more years of absence, namely: Alpina Bahn; Airwolf; Transformer; Petersburger; Schlittenfahrt; Wellenflug; Die Grosse Geisterbahn; Pirate.

Lämmy, the Schueberfouer sheep mascot, is also returning to Glacis this year. On the afternoons of Tuesday 2 and Thursday 4 September 2025, Lämmy, accompanied by a band, will be present at the fairgrounds and will distribute "Fouerbichelcher" with free attraction tickets.

From 12:00 on Monday 8 September 2025, the "Lämmy Fouer Spill" will offer visitors the chance to win prizes - Lämmy will distribute coupons to enter a competition, the winners of which will be drawn at 18:00 near the Schueberfouer entrance gate.

In addition to taking photos with Lämmy, souvenirs featuring the mascot will be sold in the travelling "Fouershop", with proceeds going to charity.

The Schueberfouer will conclude on Wednesday 10 September at 22:00 with a fireworks display on the Grand Duchess Charlotte Bridge.

The 2025 poster features a design by Sophie Ensel, third prize winner of the VdL's 2020 competition for a Schueberfouer advertising poster.
