Luxembourg-based New World Theatre Club (NWTC) has announced that it will be hosting the 2022 edition of FEATS, the Festival of European Anglophone Theatrical Societies, from 26-29 May 2022 at the Mierscher Kulturhaus in Mersch.

Hosting and organising the event is rotated primarily between the five founder clubs although there have been additional groups who have hosted the event over the years.

In 2022, it will be the NWTC’s turn to host the four-day festival, bringing together participants and festival goers from all over mainland Europe. Each evening, three groups will perform on the main stage, while an "off" programme, The Fringe, will take place during the afternoons. An experienced professional theatre director will evaluate the performances at the end of each evening and offer a summing-up on the last night, highlighting the best of the festival.

There will be one major change to FEATS in 2022: there will be no competition. This will mean that adherence to restrictions will be considerably loosened and replaced by an innovative approach to performance and style of production.

The host group of FEATS is responsible for organising all aspects of the festival and for 2022, NWTC is setting up an organising committee to take on this task. At this stage, only a handful of members are needed, the rest being added as required. John Brigg is Chair of the Organising Committee for FEATS 2022 in Luxembourg and is looking for a team of enthusiastic helpers. Primarily, he is looking for a Treasurer, Secretary, Festival Stage Manager and a Webwizard. In total, around 50 to 80 volunteers will be needed.
