The Festival of European Anglophone Theatrical Societies (FEATS) 2025 recently took place in Hamburg, Germany, from Friday 6 to Monday 9 June 2025, and a number of Luxembourg’s participants were awarded prizes for their productions.

The New World Theatre Club (NWTC) was awarded second place in the competition and received the ECC Centennial Cup. The theatre club was also awarded the Grand Duchy Trophy for Best Stage Presentation, for its production “Escurial”. Actor Gav Guilfoyle received the Blackie Best Actor Award for his part in the play.

The Sonny Pathak Discretionary Award was awarded to Pirate Productions for its musical play “Too Darn Hot!".

FEATS takes place over four consecutive nights, with three one-act plays of a maximum duration of 55 minutes presented to an audience and an adjudicator each evening. After completion of the final play, awards are given by the adjudicator for the three best productions as well as for best stage presentation, best actor and best actress. The host group also presents an award for best stage management.

While the New World Theatre Club (NWTC) has regularly participated at FEATS over the years, this year marked the first appearance for Pirate Productions at the festival.
