They went, they rode, they triumphed - Luxembourg's New World Theatre Club (NWTC) picked up one of the top awards last week-end in Hamburg, Germany, at the culmination of the Pentecost week-end's annual Festival of European Anglophone Theatrical societies (FEATS).
First performed in Bourglinster, the show was very warmly received by audiences, selling out on two nights. When asked for one word to sum up the production, audience responses included “fear”, “clean”, “expectancy”, “weird” and “refreshing”! Certainly not boring! Together with the after-show meal and setting, the run in Bourglinster proved to be a winning formula.
Recognition followed in Hamburg during FEATS, where the production won 3rd place overall. Bravo cast and crew and, in particular, to director, John Brigg.

WINNERS
- The Founders' Trophy for the best production of FEATS 2015 was presented to In Players International, Amsterdam, with Virtual Reality by Alan Arkin, directed by Sandy Topzand.
- The ECC Centennial Cup for the second best was awarded to the Stockholm Players for their production of The Dice by Forbes Bramble, directed by Nigel Harvey.
- The BATS Trophy for third best production went to the New World Theatre Club, Luxembourg, with The Strange Horseman by Michel de Ghelderode, directed by John Brigg.
