The delegation of the Luxembourg army who will be heading to South Korea in early October 2015 for the 6th Military World Games was yesterday revealed.

The 2015 Games, organised by the International Military Sports Council (CISM) and running from 1 to 11 October 2015, will be held in Mungyeong in South Korea, following the 1st Games in Rome in 1995; the 2nd Games in Zagreb in 1999; the 3rd Games held in Catania in 2003; the 4th Games in Hyderabat in 2007; and the 5th Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2011.

This edition also represents the third time that the Military World Games have been held outside Europe, with military teams from 110 countries, totalling some 9,000, convening in Mungyeong to take part.

The programme includes 24 different disciplines, including athletics; basketball; boxing; cycling; orienteering, fencing; football; golf; handball; judo; wrestling; marathon; swimming, parachuting; aeronautic pentathlon; military pentathlon; modern pentatholon; naval pentatholon; taekwondo; archery; sports shooting; triathlon; volleyball and sailing.
