From 16 to 18 July 2015, Luxembourgish Prime Minister, Minister of Communications and Media, Xavier Bettel, will pay an offical visit to Japan, accompanied by Minister of Finance Pierre Gramegna.
The Prime Minister will be received with military honours by his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe. The two leaders will then discuss various bilateral issues, current events in the European Union, as well as relations between the European Union and Japan following the EU-Japan Summit on 29 May 2015.
Xavier Bettel also meet with the Japanese Minister for Information Technology Policy and Communication, Shunichi Yamaguchi, as well as members of the Japan-Luxembourg Parliamentary Friendship League, including President of the League and Japanese Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Yoshimasa Hayashi.
The Prime Minister and Minister of Finance will also use the opportunite to meet with representatives of the Japan Federation of Economic Organisations, as well as various Japanese companies activein the information technology, communications, and digital finance sectors.
Xavier Bettel is also to attend a reception at the Tokyo residence of the Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to Japan with government representatives and members of the Japanese business community and of the Luxembourgish community in Tokyo.
