Casino Luxembourg has announced details of its upcoming programme as it continues the celebration of its 30th anniversary.

From Monday 14 September 2026 to Sunday 10 January 2027, Casino Luxembourg will host “a programme that reactivates the spirit of the Forum as a space for encounters, discoveries, exchanges and interactions with audiences”. 

The art programme FORA (Forum d’art contemporain) will feature for its third and final phase, offering an experience of art Casino Luxembourg describes as “a place that we move through, share and discover together”. For this final phase, Casino Luxembourg emphasised that the focus is on the place itself and on the different ways of engaging with it: looking, moving through it, experimenting and meeting one another. New works are being installed, while those already present continue to evolve.

Three new projects

The new programme will also feature three new projects from artists Christoph Meier and Ute Müller, Emile Demerliac, and Flora Koel.

The Hearth Room, by Christoph Meier & Ute Müller, is a constantly evolving installation that makes visible the processes of creation and the conditions in which a work takes shape. The exhibition is not presented as a collection of completed forms, but as a space for production where a studio can become a stage, where a material can become part of the architecture and where the functions of the spaces can evolve over time. In collaboration with several artists and architects, the two artists create a place where material, spatial and social processes intertwine.

At the heart of the project is clay, a malleable material that retains the traces of those who handle it. In the former Casino Bourgeois, The Hearth Room brings production, conviviality and sociability into dialogue. The work evolves with the uses of the place and with audience participation. Visitors can observe its transformations, linger there or leave their own trace.

Emile Demerliac takes over the Ground Floor spaces with Pipes Have Their Ways, a proposal in which the interaction of audiences with the work plays a central role. Using simple materials, the artist develops a work that can be manipulated, transformed and activated. It also becomes an instrument that can give rise to performative activations, making experimentation and participation an essential component of the project.

Designed for very young audiences, Bébé Trek, by Flora Koel, offers a first sensory experience of art based on exploration, movement and discovery. Toddlers, together with their parents or accompanying adults, are invited to engage with a work and a place of art, in an environment where curiosity and interaction are the starting point of the experience.

At the same time, Bianca Bondi’s activation of Notes on Weathering will continue, featuring new basement spaces.

Additional highlights

The third phase of FORA will feature several highlights, including Museums Night on Saturday 10 October and Luxembourg Art Week from Friday 20 to Sunday 22 November 2026.

As part of Luxembourg Art Week, an Art Talk will take place from 16:30 to 17:30 on Saturday 21 November. The subject of this meeting will be announced at a later date.

On Friday 20 November, Casino Luxembourg will host the Opening Night of Luxembourg Art Week, from 21:00 to 01:00.

A series of performances and workshops will also accompany the various projects throughout this final phase, allowing audiences to experiment with the works and take part in their evolution.
