Performances of SWEAT. A Musclical: Songs of Push and Pull are taking place at the Grand Théâtre in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg on Tuesday 18, Wednesday 19 and Thursday 20 November 2025 at 19:30.
Synopsis: The Rimini Protokoll collective playfully rethinks what it means to make music: Who composes? Who plays? And on what? Part of rainy days, this performance transforms fitness equipment into musical instruments and invites visitors to interact with them and improvise. Songs of Push and Pull have been specially composed for this unconventional ensemble, performed by people who have unknowingly been preparing for it: those who use these machines in their everyday workouts. In Luxembourg, individuals who may never have played a concert before use their deep physical awareness, shaped through years of training, to generate a unique sonic experience on stage. Songs of Push and Pull blurs the line between physical self-optimisation and musical performance, creating a soundscape that blends the rhythms of exercise with elements of pop and contemporary composition.
The show is held in German and English, with an introduction delivered in English 30 minutes before each performance.
Tickets cost €20 for adults and €8 for youth; Kulturpass accepted.
