Kinepolis Luxembourg will be screening a documentary film on Frida Kahlo on 7 and 12 July 2020 at Ciné Utopia in Luxembourg-Limpertsberg.

This captivating film takes audiences on a journey through the life of one of the most famous female icons: Frida Kahlo. A prolific self-portraitist, she used the canvas as a mirror through all the stages of her eventful and sometimes tragic life. By using the cinema to examine her works closely and intimately, audiences can analyse the extend of Frida Kahlo's greatness as an artist. Presenting a treasure trove of colour and an abundance of on-screen vibrancy, this personal and intimate film offers privileged access to her works and highlights the source of her feverish creativity, her resilience and her unparalleled desire for life, men, women, politicians and her cultural heritage.

We might think that we already know Frida Kahlo - the image of floral crowns, big eyebrows and trendy clothes made her a muse for generations - but what's left under the surface of this passionately passionate woman?
