This Thursday, Luxembourg will celebrate International Girls in ICT Day for the third time. International Girls in ICT Day is organised by the International Telecommunications Union, a specialised agency of the United Nations (UN). Co-organised by WIDE and Golden Z Young Luxembourg, the event will be held online this year. The main theme will be the use of technologies and data analysis in response to the COVID-19 crisis. The following speakers will participate: Amal Tawakuli, researcher at the University of Luxembourg in the field of data science, and Blanca Martìnez de Aragón and Belén Díaz-Mor, telecom engineers and creators of helpcovid19.lu.

All genders are welcome to participate in this free event. The activity is designed for an audience aged 15 years and older, although no specific knowledge is required. The webinar will be given in English. The event will be followed by a campaign on social media with interviews with women studying and working in the fields of new technologies and IT.
