Baba Sissoko comes from a dynasty of Malian Griots, troubadours of African culture that hold and transmit knowledge, tradition and history. In 1993 he founded the group with Habib Koite Bamada, with whom he won the discovery prize of RFI (Radio France Internationale). A master of African musical culture, not to be missed.

The triumphant rhythms of the Masters Drummers of Burundi are known to have inspired The Clash, Echo & The Bunnymen, Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez & Malcolm McLaren. However, these master drummers from Burundi - a small country situated in the heart of Africa - rarely travel abroad and produce very little touring. The manufacture and use of these drums is a privilege only passed from father to son. On stage, the Drummers of Burundi offer a show combining music and dance. Full of energy and grace, exhibiting athletic body pure line, the twelve members of the band dressed in colorful dresses, hammer captivating rhythms with complex syncopation while jumping, dancing, singing or even fighter imaginary opponents on their drums.
