The Information Office of the European Parliament in Luxembourg is organising the projection of the three finalist films of the LUX Prize 2012.

European cinema has been showcased every year since 2007 by the European Parliament which awards the LUX Prize. This award takes the form of in-kind support to allow, for example, subtitling the winning film in the 23 official languages of the European Union.

The objective of the European Parliament LUX Prize for cinema is twofold: to highlight the public debate on the future of Europe by the artistic quality of the film and originality of the screenplay, and to facilitate the circulation of European films in order to enrich film heritage and culture in Europe.
