New lunch break Kundalini Yoga classes, to be held weekly on Tuesdays, will aim to help participants face the daily challenges of feeling overwhelmed or stressed.

Beginning on Tuesday 3 November 2015, Yogi Bhajan will be offering these midday Kundalini Yoga sessions as a path for individuals wishing to gain the skills for coping succesfully with the daily stresses of holding jobs, raising families and managing businesses.

Kundalini Yoga can contribute to the prevention of mental stress through the provision of relaxation aids to connect mind, body and soul. Benefits of practicing these techniques include increased flexibility, body cleansing, improved digestion, strengthening of the immune system, better sleep, revitalisation and rejuvenation.

Each class includes practicing a kriya, relaxation and meditation. Kriyas are complete sets of exercises that are performed in the sequences taught by Yogi Bhajan. They can be simple short sequences or may involve vigorous, even strenuous exercises, and strong breath techniques such as Breath of Fire, which challenge and strengthen the nervous and endocrine systems and test the will of the practitioner beyond the limitations of their ego.

Kundalini Yoga is unique in its efficiency and effectiveness, with changes quickly taking place. As the variety of techniques and meditations available in Kundalini Yoga is extensive, instructors are able to tailor programmes according to the individual and the personal goals they are hoping to achieve.
