Details: Vittoria, a simple and devout woman lives in a small village in Calabria. According to the will her parents, she is married, "sold" at the age of thirteen to a man twice her age. At twenty-eight, she has seven children. Harassed by her repeated pregnancies and living nine months each year and not twelve, she decides to have an abortion instead of an eight child.
Through her voice, Vittoria revives a whole community of men and women. She tells a piece of her life, the anguish of being a woman in the South, the rows with husbands, her fear of the pregnancies, the arrangements, visits to the “angel maker”...
This play is announced to be in French.
