Details: Laurent Voulzy created the surprise this year with ‘Lys&Love’ a new electro-pop album which includes medieval love songs. This new album is a collection of songs with sophisticated arrangements, where the intertwining voices and strings are of great importance.
Accompanied by a string orchestra and choir (recorded in the dungeon of the Château de Vincennes and in the famous studio ‘Abbey Road’) the new songs from Laurent Voulzy not only blur the boundaries of musical styles, but also those of time and geography.
Lys &Love is like a book of a story. Part-time expatriated in England where he now lives with his wife and youngest son, Laurent Voulzy sings about the distance between him and France.
Moreover, Alain Souchon and Roger Daltrey, lead singer of The Who wrote songs for Laurent Voulzy’s album ‘Lys&Love’.
