Henrik Freischlader is a self-taught, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and is entirely dedicated to the blues. His music career began in small clubs. After his strong support acts for Joe Bonamassa, he was granted access to a wider audience. Over the years, followed support acts for B.B. King, Gary Moore, Peter Green, and Johnny Winter and many more.
Meanwhile Henrik Freischlader’s own tours in Germany are usually sold out. All around Europe the interest for his music is growing. The nomination for the British Blues Awards is a rare distinction for a German blues musicians.
Henrik Freischlader band is composed of musicians, all of whom are autodidacts with a passion for groovy blues-rock. Since early 2009, Theofilos Fotiadis is a permanent member in Henrik Freischlader band. Perfect timing, powerful sound and the best, unpretentious use of his instrument make him indispensable. Moritz Fuhrhop plays his Hammond organ, and offers an authentic sound of the old days. Björn Krüger's expressive playing is powerful, accurate and totally reliable.

Since its inception in 1988, the group bravely stood up to the most ephemeral streams that blues has known in the past twenty years. These torchbearers share as a common interest blues and played with with Buddy Guy, Koko Taylor, Los Lobos and many other famous people, before embarking on festivals.
The group's leader, Wally "Sweet Daddy" Greaney, is active as a professional musician since 1972, and is thoroughly familiar with all the tricks of the blues business. The drummer and percussionist Peter Perfido has performed with many jazz musicians in the United States and in Europe. He played amongst others with Anthony Braxton, Art Lande, Chet Baker, Lee Konitz, and Michel Pilz.
