Details: The Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise Europe-Network Luxembourg, along with the representation of the European Commission in Luxembourg will be organising a roundtable discussion over the “Juncker Commission’s” investment plan for the future of Europe, this coming Monday, 27 April from 14:00 to 15:00.
Since the financial and economic crisis, the EU has suffered from low levels of investment. In light of this, a collective and concerted effort is need to reverse this downward trend, putting Europe back on track for a healthy economic recovery.
The “Juncker Plan” – as it is being referred to, is innovative and ambitious, and intends on stimulating investment without creating new debts, boosting growth and revitalising the labour market in Europe.
The roundtable debate will feature:
- Jyrki Katainen, Vice-President and Commissioner of the European Commission, Head of Employment, Growth, Investment and Competitiveness
- Werner Hoyer, President of the European Investment Bank (EIB)
- Claude Turmes, Member of European Parliament
- Michel Wurth, President of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce
The panel will be moderated by Jean-Michel Gaudron, Editor-in-Chief of Paperjam
The event will be held in French and English, with live translation.
