Details: The next Luxembourg Start-up Network(ing) Event will take place at the Carré Rotondes (1 Rue de l'Aciérie, L-2651 Luxembourg-Hollerich) on Monday 27 April 2015 from 17:30.
Grow international from a Luxembourg base!
In order to grow fast, it is crucial for a start-up to go international and target new markets. Luxembourg as a small market can be considered an ideal base to test the product or service before going global. However what is considered as the right moment for start-ups to target other markets and which strategies are to be adapted to grow on a European and international scale?
After having had an international start-up featured on our last Start-up Networking Event, it is time to show that Luxembourg has as well start-ups with a successful international expansion. By consequence this start-up networking event will feature some of the most renowned entrepreneurs from Luxembourg:
Prior to creating CiteeCar, MAURO MARIANI, focused over 10 years on investments in innovative technologies and disruptive business models at Mangrove Capital Partners. Headquartered in Luxembourg, CiteeCar offers an innovative low-cost car-sharing service available in more than 10 major German cities.
With more than two decades of management experience in both industrial global-scale business and start-up environments, BOGDAN SERBAN, has co-founded Apateq, to enable oil-water separation without chemicals. Today Apateq sells its products to clients in Europe and North America. Previously, Mr. Serban was closely involved in the development of an automotive company from inception to a multi-million international group and was later appointed as CEO of a cleantech company.
Already well-known in the Luxembourg start-up scene, MARCO HOUWEN, co-founded companies such as Datacenter Luxembourg, EuroDNS (a global leader in domain names) and Luxcloud (with activities in over 35 countries). Recently he has launched his new venture BHS Services, offering innovative IT services.
The Luxembourg Cluster Initiative, headed by LAURENT FEDERSPIEL, has as one of its 5 strategic pillars the subject of internationalisation. The objective until 2020 is to create at least 10 new strategic partnerships with complementary regions or countries, to be actively involved in relevant sector-specific international networks and to promote Luxembourg and its companies on a global scale.
The event will traditionally be closed with the Networking drink to exchange with other entrepreneurs, investors or other actors of the Luxembourg start-up community.
