Details: The Centre des Arts Pluriels d’Ettelbruck (CAPe) will host a performace of The Marriage of Figaro, a theatrical show that is both aesthetic, moving and funny, which enriches the music of Mozart's masterpiece Beaumarchais, on Thuesday 29 January at 20:00.
The audience is transported to the castle of Aguas Frescas where they find the heroes of the "Barber of Seville" Rosine, now Countess Almaviva, her husband, the Count and Figaro, valet and concierge who is preparing to marry Susanna, the maid to the Countess. Along the way, a crazy obstacle course: the Count, already apart from his wife Suzanne, tries to seduce or buy favour, the price that will allow her marriage. For her part, Marceline wants to marry Figaro who owes a debt. Finally, the young Cherubin, love of all the women of the house, disturbs the objectives of all the protagonists ...
Bringing together theatre and music, drama and opera to offer the public a show that is both attractive, moving and funny, and the troupe of comedians and actors uses Mozart's music to enrich the masterpiece of Beaumarchais, a major piece of the French repertoire. With the most well-known tunes of the opera "The Marriage of Figaro", the company manages to wonder at prolonging the emotion of a character, the madness of a situation, the tension of a moment like the humour of another ... the musical score is delivered by a wind quartet, complemented by flutes, brass and guitars played by those on stage.
