Details: Diversity Day Lëtzebuerg, including the Luxembourg Diversity Awards
The first National Day of diversity in Luxembourg is being held on 12 May 2015 under the slogan "Action for Diversity", and will include the Diversity Awards.
Organized by the Luxembourg Committee on the Diversity Charter, this day will bring together organisations (companies, administrations, associations, ...) and members of the public around the promotion of diversity in all its aspects: gender equality, issues related to age, sexual orientation, physical appearance, disability, family status, level of education, origin, beliefs, cultural differences, etc.
The event will highlight the practices implemented by organisations and help raise public awareness about diversity.
The programme will include plenty of action within organisations based in Luxembourg: conferences, workshops, briefings, stands, exhibitions, partnerships, employees mobilisations, dialogue with experts, etc.
Participation is free and open to everyone: companies, associations, organisations and governments, regardless of their size or sector of activity and whether or not signatories of the Diversity Charter. Interested organisations may benefit from support proposed by the Committee for Diversity Charter (common visual signature, etc.).
Diversity Awards Lëtzebuerg 2015
The first Diversity Awards in Luxembourg will reward best practices in terms of managing diversity within organisations in 4 categories:
- Recruitment, Reception and Integration
- Career Management
- Environment and Welfare at Work
- Communication, organisation values
Applications are open until 30 March 2015. An organisation can apply for the Diversity Awards without participating in the Diversity Day and vice versa.
A panel of experts and personalities, chaired by the Minister Corinne Cahen, will announce the winners of the Awards at an awards ceremony on 12 May in the evening.
PROGRAMME
- throughout the day: specific events at organisations around the country
- 08:30 - 14:00: official visits by PM Xavier Bettel and Minister Corinne Cahen (Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg, ANABL (Association of North American Banks in Luxembourg), ADEM, ING Luxembourg, RBC Investor Service Bank S.A.)
- 13:30 - 15:15: Walk for diversity: together we are stronger (from Place d'Armes to MUDAM)
- 15:30 - 16:30: Diversity Meeting Place at MUDAM
- 17:00 - : Diversity Awards 2015 @ MUDAM
