Details: Former Luxembourg resident Dena Haggerty will be back in the Grand Duchy on Saturday 11 October 2014 for the launch of her new book, Life: Discarded, at Chapter1 bookstore at 14:00.
The author's 3rd book, Life: Discarded, follows Buried Appearances (which had a very successful book reading at Chapter1 in January) and Unforeseen Consequences.
Synopsis: Why would a woman who has it all throw her life away? Morgan has the perfect life. She married the man of her dreams. Daniel is smart, gorgeous and successful. American-Dutch author Dena Haggerty will sign copies of her new book "Discarded" at Chapter1 bookshop at 42 Rue Astrid in Luxembourg-Belair from 14:00 on Saturday 11 October; she will also read passages from the book.
Unforeseen Consequences is a suspense novel about four military women that discovered a heinous crime was about to be committed. They take action but a tragedy occurred nonetheless and now they are forced to keep their actions a secret. But the secret is about to come out. What do they do? Do they confess and risk jail? Or keep quiet and continue living in guilt?
Buried Appearances: Skylar Dewitt has been ostracizsed her entire life due to her grandfather’s well-known sympathies with the Nazis. But now her grandfather’s body has been recovered in the Netherlands in an area famous for being a Nazi killing ground. Why would her grandfather be buried in a place legendary for assassinations of resistance members? Skylar jets off to Holland in search of answers about her grandfather’s demise. Along the way she finds long-lost family and old friends but will she solve the mystery of what happened to her grandfather? And maybe she discovers something more valuable than resolving any mystery could be: herself.
