Details: The Institute for Global Financial Integrity (TIGFI) has announced that David Scheckel, Founder and CEO, Treveri Market, will speak on “Flash Boys and Market Integrity: Perspectives on High Frequency Trading” at the thirty-sixth Luxembourg Monthly Finance Lunch on Wednesday 18 June 2014 at the Cercle Munster.
David is the founder and CEO of Treveri Market. He is an expert in developing high speed order execution services and a pioneer in developing private linkages between markets. In the late 1980’s David developed and implemented an integrated order execution and routing service for Cowen and Company spanning all regional and options exchanges in the U.S. In 1996, he created, implemented and sold electronic order routing systems to broker dealers throughout the United States while at Herzog, Heine and Geduld, the third largest U.S. firm linking buyers and sellers on the NASDAQ. In 2000, Herzog was acquired by Merrill Lynch, making Merrill the 2nd largest market maker in the U.S. at the time. As President of Merrill’s Order Execution Division he continued to manage the development of order execution services and technologies. In 2002, he and his division spun off from Merrill Lynch through a management buyout into Order Execution Services (OES) where he was CEO. At OES Group, David developed the company into a leading provider of low cost, rapid electronic trading execution services, with access to all of the major and regional equity exchanges, providing trading execution platforms with fast electronic trade execution, transparency, and open market access. In early 2010, David left OES in order to found Treveri Market SA, an online Alternative Global Marketplace, joining companies with each other and investors in order to facilitate capital formation and true partnerships, as well as a full suite of consultancy services targeted to meet the needs of start-ups and SME's. Drinks are served starting at 11:30. The guest speaker will commence at 12:15.
