Details: The 8th World Peace Forum is being held from 18 - 22 June 2014; the event is being organised by the Schengen Peace Foundation in Luxembourg, and is being held at venues in Luxembourg city, in Schengen and the Schengen Lyzeum in Perl (Germany).

The Focus Countries for the 2014 World Peace Forum include Bosnia-Herzegovina, Poland, Turkey and Pakistan, and the themes include:

As in previous years, Conference Speakers come from across the globe, including Europe (Luxembourg, France, Germany, Spain, Norway, Poland, The Netherlands), South America (Argentina, Colombia, Brazil), North America (USA), Asia (India, Pakistan, Turkey) and Africa (South Africa).
In parallel to the main Conference Programme, there is a separate, yet interlinked, Arts and Religion Programme.
The Schengen Peace Foundation was initiated in 2005 as a non-profit charity approved by Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg on 19 Oct 2007. The Foundation contributes to the construction of a more peaceful world by promoting peace, tolerance and understanding through multicultural dialogue with the help of discussions, publications, exhibits and workshops, internet platforms, encounters, exchange and education programs as well as studies about peace.
